Requirements

  • Mandatory proficiency of both verbal and written English
  • Optional proficiency in other languages such as Spanish, German, French, Italian and Russian represents a plus
  • Valid license to provide veterinary care issued by an European Union county’s board
  • 3+ years of experience in veterinary care for small pets or farm animals
  • Desktop or laptop computer with a reliable internet connection and a webcam
  • Currently residing in Romania (priority) or the European Union (waiting list)

Note: Unfortunately, if you are an intern or require supervision to provide veterinary care services, you cannot be a provider at VeterinaryDAO at this time. Veterinarians are not VeterinaryDAO employees, but independent providers.

VeterinaryDAO does not require you to install an application to your computer, nor do we support chat apps such as Wire, WhatsApp, or Signal for any official medical use. Veterinarians are not required to pay fees or incur any costs to join VeterinaryDAO.

If you believe your pet is in need of urgent care – don’t use this site. VeterinaryDAO is designed to offer remote consultations for non-urgent matters.

In emergency situations, it’s crucial to seek immediate in-person veterinary care. Familiarize yourself with local emergency veterinary services for rapid response to critical situations. Our comprehensive database of European Union based veterinarians and animal health care providers is a great place to start! Also, these resources may be able to provide you with immediate help.
